Yes, that is an interesting idea. Now, please tell me, what have I written in any of my posts on this thread that would lead you to presume that I have not tried this tweak?

In fact, I gave it a try before I ever responded to Charles. In cases such as these, I prefer to keep my results to myself for awhile, in order not to unduly influence others.

In my case, I perceived absolutely no difference in playback. Perhaps this is because of the relatively high humidity in my area this time of year. Perhaps this tweak doesn't do anything. I don't know, so I wil pursue it further sometime with the help of some other audiophiles.

Now, since you have been such a vocal advocate of trying this, let me ask you: Have YOU tried this tweak, and what were YOUR results?
