Don't use a marker at all. All it does is increase errors and read time.

On the other hand, Auric Illuminator does work on several different aspects of disc performance. All of them are improvements in my experience.

Rather than sand the disc, pick up an Audio Desk Systeme disc cutter. Much easier, less tedious and offers far more repeatable results than sanding ever could.

As to the aluminum foil routine, doesn't this have potential to scratch / scuff the surface of either side of the disc ? Buy a Bedini or Furutech and use that. The application of "Static Guard" to the Bedini / Furutech and the loading tray of the player will also improve things. Sean
