Reading all of the replies in this thread so far, you can see that the following rules apply to people who call themselves (or who are called) "audiophiles":Audiophiles "hear", and there is a definite physical basis for that phenomenon.
Audiophiles "imagine", and there is an indefinite metaphysical basis for that phenomenon.
These two basic factors, in concert with one another, create what audiophiles are forced to call "perception".
And now that you are armed with such irrefutable facts ? You must then decide if you really want to be an "audiophile" in the first place.
