The tiny U.S. audio business

Just looking at Stereophile's recommended components -speakers and amps, both are LOADED w/ European co. Or American-made but European-controlled/sourced.

Like YG, Magico, Constellation, Benchmark -none of these are fully American. Or (un-ranked speaker co.) Pure Audio Project -European-sourced, U.S. made.

But I'm glad 'PAP' is here.

And East-Asian born men who started a business here. There's nothing wrong with that. It just seems the audio-driven people in the world are (ultimately) not American.

If I want a solid-state amp, not 'hybrid', not 'switching', under 10K, what (U.S.) choices do I have ? Pass, Ayre, Parasound. That's it ?

I guess we're doing good on tubes and horns. The later count is about 20 American, not counting waveguide-designs like Devore O-series. These types of speakers are welcome in today's world.

But it's still shocking how small we are on the world stage...
