You have observed what I have in the monos. I have the separate monos, which were purchased before the Dual came out. If I had the choice now, I'd still go with the separate Monos, as I like the ability to have each amp right next to each speaker. The only way I'd move away from these amps, is if the Tact Digital amps prove to be as good as anticipated. Currently, two people I know have gotten their Tact digital amps, who are/were owners of the Stereo Stratos with the 120,000 Microfarad Cap upgrade. After 72 hours of leaving their Tact Amps on, they said they bested the Stratos Stereo amp in every way. I'm currently waiting to hear some results on some of the Stratos Mono owner who is expecting a Tact S2150. I know there will be a question to how well one Tact Digital amp stacks up against the monos, however I doubt that there would be any question of Two Tact amps, compared to the Stratos monos. In my system the Two Tact amps would have be more superior, as I'd use the digital crossovers in the Tact amps and bypass any nasty passive crossover parts. There is a premium to pay for this and at almost 3 times the price of the Stratos Monos, that really isn't a fair comparison.
Have a great day and enjoy your Mono,
Brad
