RE: Does Amplification Configurations Define Peripherals?

The two systems I use run on different principles..... One is conventional 90 dB efficient speakers run by 70 watts of push-pull tube power..... The other is 100 dB efficient speakers run by 3 to 10 watts of single-ended tube power...... Each system has its advantages and disadvantages, but both are very satisfying. (The conventional main system is more "transparent", but the high-efficiency system has "immediacy"..... ) But it's very difficult to construct a system, of any type, which does really well in all parameters or with all music.
