which is exactly why it sounded so good. The remasters tend to be poor by audiophile standards but great in our car stereos.
What is more distressing is that current releases are made for poor quality formats. I was watching a DVD on the making of Iron Maiden's latest CD. There was a scene where the producer was demonstrating how great the drummer sounded on a particular track. He handed him a pair of earbuds to listen to the MP3 version! This is in the studio!! No wonder the CD sounds terrible.
