I have had three in my system sucked the life right out of the music. This was in a big way. Power cords on the other hand can really improve things accross the board. There is no real explanation for this thing with power cords if you think about it it is going into a 1/2 to 2 amp fuse. Right now I am using combos up to 8 guage even in my power supply for the tube phono section.Enjoy Tom
