gave a worthwhile improvement. I DONT rely on the Monster for lightening protection, (which we get a lot of in early summer), but have it downstream from a 20 amp Brickwall unit. Truth be told the Monster is thus now just a glorified power strip, and if I had it to do over again, I'd just go with the Brickwall, which is not only SOTA surge protection, but a decent line conditioner as well. Brickwall's got some really decent ones for about 2 clams, and I highly recommend them, though cleaning up sound quality is NOT their raison de etre, but rather protecting your gear.
