In my sytem I have ha a few power conditioners through. Both active and passive units, but not the PS Audio AC regeneration unit. I have found that power conditioners tend to either rob the music of it's microdynamics, and fine detail, or add enough of it's own sonic signature to be quite noticable. I wanted to believe I needed a power conditioner, but my ears were telling me otherwise. So I took it out and listened without it, and the music has alot better tonal balance, timing, and more intimate sounding. Now in your application I would recommend a unit like the Brick Wall which is a high end surge protector that will protect your units from huge line fluctuations, but won't color the sound. If you wnat to prove to yourself what a power conditioner will do in your system make sure you buy one from somewhere that will give you a trial or a 30 day exchange. U think if you listen with an open mind you will find that the sound will be different, but not really an improvement.Regards
Mister Pigp.s. on the other hand I have found that power cords make substantial improvements in most systems.
