You know what probably happened to that one Al? Here's my guess...1) Unit was shipped to their US service facility
2) Unit was inspected and found to be working perfectly
3) Unit was certified "A-OK" and tagged as a refurb
4) Unit was purchased by some poor sap who went through the same thing that you did.
In the future, do us all a favour. Stomp the piss out of gear like this. Not only will YOU feel a lot better by physically venting all of your frustrations, nobody else has to worry about ending up with a REAL "lemon" like this : ) Sean
>PS... Since you are into DIY'ing, stuff like this might not have to be physically destroyed, even though it can be very theraputic to say the least. Instead of demolishing the P.O.S., you can simply gut it for parts. At least that way, you get something out of your original investment : )
