Nothing strange abut it. A Ferrari is gonna quit on you a lot more often than a Toyota. You don't buy them for the same reasons and you don't (well, I wouldn't) expect the same level of reliability. Re the Sony-bashers, the only Sony I've ever had that needed attention was an XA-777ES, after 4 1/2 years of a 5-year warranty.
