Frank,I was under the impression that the Exposure VX was 60wpc?
The FS-78SE is 86db, and like most Focus Audio speakers, they do like to see a bit of power. I've heard from some Focus owners who have gotten good results using 50wpc tube gear. But to my ears, if you're running solid state, I'd recommend something that can deliver 80wpc or more. (this primarily comes from my experience over the last year with the FS-788...since the 78SE is new, I've not had a chance to really try it with a lot of different gear).
FWIW, towards the end of the show, we hooked up the 110wpc Blue Circle NSCS Integrated amp to the FS-78SE, and there was no sign of strain whatsover...even when someone put in a Prodigy CD and asked to crank it up on "Firestarter"... :-D
