I'm always surprised that there's so much debate about which connectors are 'best', spade or banana or bare ended etc, and also which binding posts are 'best', when both of these can be eliminated altogether and replaced with a neat blob of solder.Exchanging equipment is of course a real pain in the a*s, but once a certain level is reached I'd say the benefits of eliminating every single unecessary joint/union from the signal path far outweigh the temptation to 'upgrade', and deciding to treat your system as a complete...er...system rather than a collection of conveniently interchangable separates may ensure the temptation to upgrade any one component is banished for good.
In practice there only needs to be four wire connections from the speaker's driver to the amp's output (not including the crossover's wiring), but instead we typically have over double this.
