I concur that one must listen for the positive features of each setup. I found a great deal of value auditioning the different rooms at the show. I think all of us have preferences in sound reproduction that direct our choices in equipment. What I discovered is that some of these preferences are "unconscious", emerging in the patterns of likes and dislikes. It really helped me to understand that I prefer fast transients, dynamic & balanced full range reproduction, with large soundstaging.Many thanks, esp. to Metrella, for excellent show reports.
