Hey Jerome,

I have thought that ripping might not be as easy as bits is bits. But this is very hard to swallow.

What programs are you using for your ripping? And what hardware? External or internal?

At first glance it seems like this has something to do with jitter. Though I remember an inmate Todd Krieger talking about how ripping didnt keep the "jitter footprint" intact and that is one of the reasons he didnt like hard drive based playback.

Can you outline a test I could try to repeat your results?
