Sounds like a good feature for a preamp

Sounds like it would be very convenient to have a "polarity inversion" switch on one's preamp.

I've seen waveforms for various insturments and they are often not symetrical across the 0 point, so I can understand why "absolute polarity" is audible. Until now I thought "absolute polarity" refered only to electical polarity because, to me, polarity in the sound wave seemed essential (why would such a thing even be under debate).

So here I was, all this time thinking the absolute polarity people were a bunch of goof balls or people with MUCH better ears than I (along with the folks who can hear the difference when wires are reversed).
