Hi Bill,Yeah, I read Clark's book about 10 years ago and then obsessed about getting a polarity-reversal switch somewhere in my system ... but, as I run 3-way active speakers, I wasn't gonna flip 6 pairs of speaker cables!
I even went as far as installing a polarity-reversal circuit in my phono stage ... then I found out this extra switch contact was degrading my sound (even when I wasn't reversing polarity), so I removed it!!
I no longer obsess about absolute polarity! Yes, a balanced system would be great but this would necessitate replacing all my gear.
I think no single person in the history of audiophilia has ruined more people's life than Clark Johnsen!! :-))
