The Arcam DIVA 92 CD has about 90% of the sound that the FMJ 23 has. The difference is the 2 power supplies that the 23 possesses. The 92 is a bit on the dark side and laid back. One thing is that the 92 is very musical, without being analytical. It serves faithful to the recording, nothing less, no add flavors.
Yes, the Triangle Celius nominal is 8 ohms, not like some other Triangle Models which are 4 ohms.
Synergy is what my goals are here. The 92 db sensitivity, and almost 40 watts of solid state is perfect for my small enviornment. I have Audioquest Caldera speaker cables, Acoustic Zen Matrix inter-connects. So far I'm doing alright except for my power cords.
The Lavardin is not an amp that says HEY YOU LOOK AT ME! It steps aside and your into the music not the glamour. I find myself leaving it on all night, not something I used to do from my previous set up.
