Re: Classics of the 70s


My system from the 70's:

Kenwood KD500 turntable/Grace TR707 II tonearm/various cartridges
Advent 300 as a preamp
Audionics of Oregon CC2 amp
DCM Timewindow speakers (original model).

I was very happy with this setup for years. Then some parts were stolen in a burglary, the Advent 300 died and then the CC2 died. This year, I gave away the Timewindows to someone who desperately needed speakers. I had replaced them with Joseph Audio RM7si speaker two years ago. Maybe this system wasn't truly classic by today's terms, but it produced pretty good music for a reasonable price.
