The Revox A-77. Yes, indeed. Had an open reel deck at one time but the Revox was the classic piece.I see some of these on e-bay once in a while - and at a fraction of the price they sold for new.
But can you buy open reel tapes today?
And can you find folks to work on them if they break?
Klipshorns? My Advent 300 has plenty of juice for those!! Talk about efficient! And great sound. But I don't have the room or the budget.
