Caution: BASS PLAYER RANT
I hated the P Bass but it's worth a bundle today. I sold the 360 late in 1969 because I couldn't hear myself on stage but thirty feet out it was defining. The kick in the butt was that I never soloed the bridge pickup on my 63 Jazz. Russ Alle has designed a new 360 but the depression has had an impact on its release.
I replaced the 360 with a Linden NJ Ampeg SVT another popular amp today. That ninety pound head and the 8-10 trunk ruined my back. The combination of the P Bass and the SVT was boring for me, again popular today.
Before the acoustic and before any loud Bass amplification I had two DIY JBL 4530 scoops with JBL E145-8's powered by two Marantz 8B's which I later sold for $300 each. That was regrettable. But not a regrettable as the nineteenth century Italian flatback I sold for the down payment on my house. Fortunately, it's thirty miles away and I still get to play it now and then.
