Westrex Studio Speakers - probably 2326As - 15" bass and massive tweeter in large (rather ugly) cabinet.
Paid £50 25 years ago - a bit of a bargain! These were offered in response to my "Wanted - Large Loudspeakers" ad in local paper. When I went to collect, I was also offered a huge early 1960s hi-fi cabinet filled with:
Quad 22 stereo preamp
Pair Quad II power amps
Quad FM tuner
Garrard 301 turntable
Shure M212 arm and pickup (very rare)
Ferrograph high speed tape deck
I offered £60 and took away the lot.
Do I reget selling this classic kit? Probably not on sensible reflection. I'm sure I made a resonable profit and I wouldn't trade it with my present Mark Levinson CDP, Art Audio amp and Avantgarde speakers.
