I did watch some of it and it puzzled me in places and became to much minutiae at times.
My brain starts to not follow long paths of data.
That doesn't mean what JJ is saying doesn't have validity.
One thing the really puzzled me is him saying that speakers had gone by the way side - my words- and tracing or tracking was what everyone was going to listen to music.
Maybe in another world but not in the audiophile world that I see out there.
Can someone explain what he was referring to?
As far as accurate, I think that is a personal interpretation. In my room I can hear what I can feel are artists playing music while I am setting different distances away.
Is it going to be confused with live performances? No, not in my 70 year old hearing range.
Does it sound believable that a performance is happening in front of me with amazing detail of breath of blowing horns and fingers sliding on strings and odd background noise that probably no one wanted in the recording, yes.
It is different for everyone.
