"Hence we have a lot of tube equipment fans.
It's fine if someone wants a little warmth or color: that's personal choice. However they shouldn't try to convince others that the sound is truer to "live" performance, much less more "accurate". 'Cause it ain't, it's just happens to be what they like. "

That statement can seem as dogmatic as the tube fans you are characterizing.
It's dubious to make some across the board statement that tube colorations "ain't" more realistic. Most recordings contain all sorts of colorations, many of which reduce the natural or realistic character, e.g. emphasized sibilance to vocals etc. It's quite possible certain tube amplification/speaker combos can sound more natural on some recordings.
I've found that myself. For instance I'm often comparing recordings to real life sounds, just to remind me of the difference. So for instance I'll compare a well recorded female vocal to the sound of my wife's voice.
Among my speakers are an old pair of Spendor S3/5s which are particularly good at recreating the "gestalt" of the human voice. However, I found they didn't do this as well with solid state amplification. It was really when powered by my CJ tube amps that the voices sounded that much more organic and human, and passed the "real vs reproduced" vocal comparisons, to my ears.
