I should hope the "reality" doesn't change. There's plenty of non aural information that will maintain your mental picture of the reality of the situation. That's how the human brain works. We take our cues from all of our senses in tandem and our brain quickly fills in the blanks to paint a useful mental picture.
But the actual sound does change when you move your head even if you are not consciously aware of the changes. Likewise your perception of the sound will change when you change your focus or when a visual cue conflicts with the sound even though the actual sound itself doesn't change.
We are all human. We are pattern seekers whose brains fill in missing info to be efficient because efficiency is biologically more valuable than objective accuracy. Our ears and brains are not recording machines. We don't process most of what our ears hear. We filter most of it out as useless data. We don't retain most of what we process since the memory only needs a few basic features for quick recognition.
