So the vast vast amount of music then has no ability to be judged as real or accurate or whatever, by that very limited definition of " live, unamplifed"
You're hearing the sound reinforcement gear which is most often dreadful sounding. Having to wear ear protection negates the notion of high fidelity.
Having said that, I enjoy listening to quite a few genres. They're just not useful for determining anything in the way of a reference.
