Primers, quality ones and not some Belarusian crap, are about $75-$100/k, quality powder is $40-$100 per pound and bullets, which are going up soon, are somewhat easier to find.
Brass is the easy part, since it can be reused a few times at a minimum and a lot of us don't reload, so why not sell it off to those of who do and profit?
If you don't have primers, you only have bartering fodder, not 'ammo.'
