But let's step back and look at the actual argument Estat is making and the context of that argument. Estat pointed out that I own ARC gear. That is true. He makes the argument or at least infers that I should take it as meaningful evidence in favor of PC sound because of things ARC does today. I pointed out that ARC/Bill Johnson did not do that with the ARC gear I own and he designed. So what ARC does today has no bearing on what I own.
In fact nobody in the 80s (or was it later?) was doing anything with power cords.It was a non issue until someone came up with the brilliant idea of selling "high end" power cords. And then who would have guessed it? They make night and day differences. Of course you can go back to reviews from the same rags that claim thsenight and day differences back in the 80s and 90s where they declare numerous components to be audibly transparent despite the use of stock power cords.
