well, you made me look

at the ARC webpage. I didn't see any mention of after market power cords. But I did check the specs on their current lineup of components. None of which were sporting <-70 db of noise. Not even close.

Soooo their products are either competently designed and have no audible noise from their power supplies or......they are measuring their products using these after market power cords and not the stock power cords which would make their published specs dishonest. That would be quite scandelous
Maybe what is happening here is some confusion between ARC coddling their current customer base who largely believe in things like expensive power cords making an audible difference with components that are already sufficiently free of noise and actually claiming their products need an out sourced power cord to do the basic and simple job of adequate noise filtering in their internal power supplies.

Bottom line is in their own specs. Those specs were either acheivedwith the stock power cords and show more than enough noise reduction for any after market product to make an audible difference.Or they are publishing blatently dishonest specs.
