I have to pull the EL34 amplifier out of it's rack in order to bias. A real pain. Fortunately, with no load, there doesn't appear to be a problem. This may be different for other amplifiers. Hopefully, if that was really the case, they would make it easy to bias from the front of the unit so you can keep the speakers attached.
