RE: Dumbest remark of the week from an audio dealer

One additional income stream these days is the INSTALL side of things. The store I bought my last gear at gave me nearly -20% for cash. I don't remember about tax. But they do a LOT of higher end installs. The HT guys spend a bundle on equipment and setup. So, they look at the 'package' price and decide value based on the total, not just if they are getting some kind of discount on the equipment itself.
Whoever started 'negotiations' @40% is unrealistic, IMO. Especially if you want the store to be there for after-sale support and NEXT time you desire an 'upgrade'.
