RE: Dumbest remark of the week from an audio dealer

If I were a dealer (again not knowing anything about the retail side of things), I would not lower my price for someone coming in to negotiate. If I were willing to sell lower, I would mark the item as such. By the time a dealer pays his lease, utilities, advertising, insurance (health and business), employees, inventory cost (taxes, etc), shipping....I bet he/she would be lucky to make 3-5% above cost. I would guess, Used components, installs, etc would bring the bigger profits
