Makes sense, suggested retail triple wholesale, knock 40-60% off suggested retail and you're back to 40% mark up. Furniture typically has a 200% markup, it's just business, they have to eat too.

If you call an electrician and their shop rate is $120/hr, what do you think the schmuck doing the work is making? A 500% mark up is typical here in fl, so the electrician is making less than $25/hr.

The guys biggest mistake was to think his customers understood business and would appreciate his honesty.
