RE: Listening to digital/vinyl and then mono

I'm not trying to belittle your discovery, but...
Its always difficult to compare vinyl to digital. As often as not, they are from totally different mixes and/or different masters.
I used to directly compare the 2 different media, until I realized in many cases, not all, the sources/mixes were so different as to make a direct comparison less than helpful.


Makes sense, Jack. But in general, I'm also comparing the overall impression, impact, emotional energy and dynamics that seem to always sound different on vinyl than it sounds on digital.
