Re: Is This Ethical?

These guys kill me. I have followed auctions I lost at last minute that appear almost immediately on Audiogon making the same claims the owner on ebay made and you know they have not even recieved them yet. On the other hand there are people out there like a guy I ran into a few years ago. He had a bunch of Bugle Boys 6dj8's and I won an auction for 4. They were original used and all same lot. But 2 tested off, one with a grid leak and another weak. HE admitted he did not have a tester and was using values from dealer he bought them from, but he turned around not knowing me from Adam and sent me the entire batch to pick out the best ones to match to my other 2 and send the others back. I could have screwed him, but I tested all gave him my readings and he offered me all at a reduction (he had sold pre he was going to use them in). I bought them all at $10 a piece aside from the 4 in the auction and took 2 from the others that matched for those. I ended up with about 4 bad ones and I asked him what to do and he said throw them away. He was very trusting and I was very honest. I keep the bad ones sitting on my desk as a reminder.
