I would email him and ask him to return the money order (if he hasn't, in fact, already sent the item out) and look for another used Planet 2000. It sounds like you might have had a good deal, but the mere fact that the seller has been so nonresponsive to your questions and has pissed you off quite a bit -- hmm, screw it! Tell him to send your money back and sell that POS to someone else. Maybe not quite in that language, but you get the message.This is supposed to be a FUN hobby and, obviously, it isn't right about now.
