Hi,
The agreed terms included spliting the shipping costs on a Planet 2000 ($575 total). I set the MO out the next day (1/3). Amazingly, it took 9 mailing days to arrive at the sellers address (1/13), at which point he said he would ship the item out mid week. That was on this past Mon(1/13).He just sent an email this morning (1/18) saying the shipping cost was more that he had expected, and that he wanted me to send an extra $20. Since he did not send a traking #, I am asuming he did not send the item.
I am not happy with his communication, usually taking three days to reply to my emails, and also the fact that he did not research the shipping cost before committing to the transaction.
I believe it is the sellers responsibility to know what the shipping costs are before hand, and i did send him my zip before we came to an agreement. Still, I would have been more than happy to send the extra money to cover the increased shipping cost, but not I have to wait for his untimely replies, and then whatever few days it takes him to mosey on down to UPS.
Am I being unreasonable in being inpatient in that I have sent $575. in good faith, and now he is holding the item till I send $20. more due to his laziness in not verifying shipping costs before committing to the tranaction?
What should I do?
