Well, since the buyer cannot control the way the item is packed, who it is shipped with, and whether or not the item is properly insured, it certainly doesn't seem reasonable to saddle the buyer with the responsibility of receiving it in good condition. The condition of the item from door to door is, and always will be the responsibility of the seller -- this is his/her part in the transaction, just as getting the money to the seller in a timely manner is the buyer's responsibility. I agree with the folks above - if the seller won't take this level of responsibility, then it speaks volumes about his/her honesty and values. I wouldn't do business with them.-- Ken
