My experience with Stereophile parallels yours with Listener. Last fall, my issues stopped coming. An e-mail on their website produced a similar automated response -- but nothing happened. Finally, a post here got John Atikinson's attention. Thanks to him the missing back issues were sent (after I was told they were unavailable). A few more issues came, with a skip or two. However, since February, I have received nothing. I sent another email to circulation thru the website -- and received a similar non-responsive "response." I believe there's an 800 number somewhere that I can call. But, to be honest, the whole thing is getting pretty tiresome and I've been too busy to make the call.I had a two year subscription, too.
It's unfortunate that the efforts and work of people on the editorial side get sabotaged by sloppy "back office" work.
Except for reading some reprints of Listener reviews, I'm not familiar with the magazine. But, from all indications, it was a serious and well-written audiomag, put together with love and effort by Mr. Dudley and his crew. That its publication has ended is a loss to us all.
