Re: The problem with Hi-Fi dealers (long)

Back when I was about your age, (almost 40 years ago), I traveled to a hi fi store in San Francisco from San Jose with a friend to hear the KLH 11 sound system. They would not let us listen to it, because it was in a sealed box and they didn't want to open it. My friend heard it and bought it at another hi fi store. I have been a high fi dealer (employee) and I do understand the some people are REAL time wasters. Still, my employer was always polite, and the rest of us were as well, to anyone who came in the store. Even now, if I go into a hi fi store that doesn't recognize me, I have an uphill fight to make any headway.
