Re: Counterpoint

Chris,

Totally agree (see my other postings on this subject). My dealer removes all other speakers and equipment from the room and patiently connects and reconnects different amps for me to listen to. The first thing they do is introduce themselves and at some stage offer cold drink or coffee, whether you're spending $500 or $5000.

One of the salespersons asked me if I would like to do a review of the product which I emailed and they posted it on their website (with my agreement of course).

I recommend this dealer to other people because I want them to stay in business.

They have massive premises and at least 10-15 well trained sales people who are all consistent in their knowledge and approach. The owner (who must have a dollar or two) still works alongside his own sales people and serves customers like everyone else. And if they can see you're not finished listening there is no pressure to wind up the sale or the session just because it's closing time.

No wonder they were voted one of the 5 best hifi stores in the world by a major British HiFi mag a few years ago - not bad for a dealer 22,000km from the magazine's home base !!!
