Its getting off the point I know, but my wife and I recently purchased a new Honda CR-V Sport. My wife used to work for a car dealer so went to our local Honda Dealer. They offered her $2000 for her car and even said they might have been more generous if there wasn't so much junk in the car (a few plastic wrappers and some loose dirt on the carpets).
So out she marched and straight to a dealer in the next suburb. $3250 for the Charade and when she quietly apologised for the mess the valuer said that he was glad she didn't waste time and money cleaning it up because they can see past that. We ended up getting $6000 after minimal haggling, as well as a followup phone call after the first service to enquire if we were still happy and if we had any questions re the vehicle and to call if there were any problems. They also said they would be calling several more times during the life of the warranty as well.I remember the first place reminding me of the worst audio dealers I have come across over the years - arrogant, rude and customerless...
