As a young buyer, I've been in this situation before. It is insulting when a dealer assumes you aren't worth his time. What is crazy, however, is the idea that creeps into our heads that the right way to show him that you are worth his time is to step up and spend tons of money at his store. "That'll show 'em I'm somebody, heh heh heh." Fortunately, I have stopped short of using that logic, despite its temptation.I'm glad you stopped dealing with the snob before handing him one cent of your money. He doesn't deserve it. Congratulations! You just deprived a bad dealer of a good customer.
