Depends what you mean by "thunderous bass", I guess. Sure the sort of deep bass that dub or techno produces is for the cases above but I'd love my system to be able to deliver 20Hz organ notes well.
As would anyone who loves the pipe organ, I should imagine ... so does that mean (as you said " No woman I know of likes it (thunderous bass) ") few women like organ music?
