Thunderous bass when it actually in the music

fattening up the bass isnt advised but deepening it is. most of our speakers do well down to 50 or 40Hz or so. extending that to 20 or 16 adds realism and ambience, hence-satisfaction.

most recordings have those lowest frequencies in normal amounts so even lady gaga CDs can shake the room. at normal sub settings, skinny puppy will pressurize a room and flight of the cosmic hippo will have jaws dropping quickly.

so, yeah, its necessary.
