Sonics are important but one must factor in other variables:
1) Price, you get what you pay for;
2) Cosmetics, size & weight & quality of build;
3) Musical and Physical "presence;"
4) Pedigree, was it made by, and generally owned by, the "right sort" of people?
It is only by meeting ALL these criteria is a system truly noteworthy.
