35' runs between my preamp and my active XOs. The power amps are powered into a different circuit to the preamp.
But I get zero hum, as I paid special attention to earthing when building my gear (like, RCAs are isolated from the chassis). And I use shielded ICs (of the lowest-capacitance cable I could find).
