The only gear I ever had that sounded better after being on a day or more were a couple solid-state amps. My Marantz 8260 and HHB burner sound just fine after 20 minutes or so. (The Marantz has a standby mode, so it's always on a little.) The rest of my gear is tubed, and I shut them off if I'm going out for a couple hours or more.
