I used to find it fun to watch them, in the Spring mostly, dive and suddently pull up with a squeak and loe and behold a glob of runny white would be aimed SQUARE at my head. I would duck and laugh. (I had a LOT of fun on Gulf coast beaches when I was young) and able to wear a bikini without causing major panic that a Manatee is up and walking on the beach in a bikini. Lucky for me, now I live where EVERYONE looks like a whale that somehow got out of the water.
